When is the best time to visit?
You can visit New York when ever during the whole year. You only have to know by yourself which weather you like the best. During the summer (Jul-Aug) it can get really hot and winter/spring can be really cold. Even if you are looking at the temperature in winter there are not many degrees below zero - but the wind between the high skyscrapers will make the temperature significant colder.

Districts
Not only Manhattan!
New York is so much more than the little island of Manhattan. There are 5 districts that make New York City - Manhattan, Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island - all with its special charm. If you are a first-time-visitor in New York the most attractive area for you will probably be Manhattan, but it might be interesting for you to see what the other districts have to offer - because you´ll probably return one day.

New York is a big and hectic city. As every big city you have access to bus, taxi and subway. But we would like to take a walk. This is a really good way to
experience the city. You walk in your own pace and you sea a lot, it is cheap and will get some exercise at the same time. A tip - bring some comfortable shoes.

The NHL season starts on Jan 19, 2013
After months of NHL lockout, the parties have finally agreed to a new contract and the season will begin on the weekend 19 to 20 January 2013th. The Regular Season will run until April 27 and the playoffs will start three days later on April 30.

NYC & Company - the city's official tourism marketing organization - has opened an office in Stockholm!
The office opened in March 07 as a step in the goal to increase turism from the Scandinavian countries to New York. The Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg's goal is to attract 50 million visitors annually by 2015.
Turist information
The NYC Stockholm office is not opened to the public. It represents travel agents, airlines, journalists and press but you as a "tourist" can contact them to get information by phone or email.
