Sightseeing in New York (Helicopter)
Seeing New York from above in a helicopter is a completely different experience than down in the street. You get the same feeling as when a movie starts sweeping across the Manhattan skyscrapers.

Tip! Take a sightseeing with one of the many tours offered by bus, bicycle, boat, cab, and even helicopter. You'll see a lot in a short time. |

Petter & Mija Ivarsson has done it...
...flown over New York
We wish to thank Peter and Mija Ivarsson who sent us pictures of their helicopter ride over Manhattan.
Mija says that the flight was a super cool experience.
They chose a trip of about 15-17 minutes and it cost $ 196 per person (2008). They were lucky and got a helicopter that would take four people, just for the two of them. The helicopter departed from a pier just northeast of the South Ferry. After the usual security check they flew away up into the air. The trip took them over the Hudson River and north above Central Park, then south, where they flew over Liberty Island with the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
